chelsea in a nutshell Chelsea Johnson is the combination of Audrey Hepburn & Blake Lively, and she is the gal often found dancing around her kitchen while trying to cook something edible. She has a love-hate relationship with the gym, an obsession with anything and everything gold, and a serious love affair with… pizza (I repeat, serious, this is no joke). Chelsea is a newlywed and just tied the knot with her own handsome Prince Charming in 2017!  Chelsea has a kitten named Boo, a puppy named Jax and is living her dream by marrying her best friend. In her free time she teaches dance, works closely with her church doing mission work and travels the world with her hubby. Her happy place is somewhere with her toes in the sand, a good book in one hand, and a margarita in the other. 

the start Chelsea is a Stevenson University graduate and a Certified International Event and Wedding Professional with over 6 years of event planning experience. It seems like yesterday Chelsea first sat in the EED studio interviewing for an internship for college. EED has had many interns over the years, but Chelsea stood out immensely to both Jillian and Elle. Chelsea was eager to learn, asked questions about the reasoning behind every step made and Jillian and Elle would quite literally fight over her on event days.  It wasn’t long until Jillian and Elle started comparing every other intern to her, and once the internship was over, missed her amazing attention to detail. So much so that they asked her join the team as Jillian’s official Event Producer.

wedding planner After a year of successful events with Jillian, Elle would give Chelsea more and more responsibilities and each time, Chelsea would over-the-moon perform. She has an eye for design, creativity and bringing these alive in events. Her contagious charisma (when you meet her, you will know what we mean!), detail-oriented organization and her elegance in her interactions with everyone she meets led the way to planning her own events with EED. She has been an official wedding planner at EED since 2015 and is in love with every moment of it…and her clients with her. Chelsea’s main source of couples with EED has been client referrals because her past Brides & Grooms recommend her enthusiasm for weddings and creativity! 

style Have you ever met someone and thought, “Wow, how can someone be that cheerful?” That is Chelsea! Her bubbly personality and genuine love for love is evident within the first few minutes with her. This is most likely why her style is romantic; she adores romance. Chelsea’s couples have a unique array of visions, and she has helped plan & design everything from floral floating over the dance floor waterfront on the Chesapeake Bay or farm to table in the country, to blending cultural traditions in black tie at the Four Seasons.
